Description adam winberg 2019-08-15 11:33:55 UTC
Could you please build mod_auth_cas for EPEL8? To work in RHEL8 it needs to be a version with support for openssl 1.1

Hi,

We have need of this package as well. We rebuilt it ourselves for now and have opened a PR (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/mod_auth_cas/pull-request/1) also bumping the version to 1.2.
If anyone needs the specfile we used it is in there.

It would be good if this was rebuilt for EPEL7 and added to EPEL8.

Thanks

Wouter

Using Wouter's version I was able to build an RPM on CentOS 8.2.2004 and have it working.

Comment 4 Brad Spry 2021-12-01 20:37:52 UTC
CAS is modern enterprise-grade and more sensible to maintain than SAML. The unavailability of an official package will force most to stay on SAML and that's just plain regressive.
