The original bug is currently addressing several issues regarding egress network policy with dnsName.
However the current issue affecting the customer who initially complained is fixed upstream in https://github.com/openshift/sdn/commit/4c01b7ba5023a49e541fccdeb687df538e0d6f44
This is a request for backport of this https://github.com/openshift/origin/pull/23636

Mixed branches and commits and everything.

Closed the PR, we need https://github.com/openshift/openshift/origin/30184a2359bc2911efa6c38cc00b4ca29417c30b in 3.9, not https://github.com/openshift/sdn/commit/4c01b7ba5023a49e541fccdeb687df538e0d6f44

Customer doesn't need it in 3.9 anymore.
