Description of problem:
Try to open any *.php file such as DB.php from DB-*tar.bz2 from php-*src.rpm 
(FC4 or another php package).

You should see message like "Error on php.syntax at line 4367"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Last official fc3/4 updates.

Additional info:
Attached simple patch must fix issue.

After my post I have read the mc-devel@ and found your same fix. ;-)
I think we can close this by CLOSED UPSTREAM.
