Description Jens Kretschmer 2019-09-03 07:52:54 UTC
Description of problem:
Currently it's not possible to install qt-creator on a RHEL 7.7 system. RHEL 7.7 provides Qt 5.9.7, but qt-creator requires Qt 5.9.2.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
qt-creator-4.1.0-4.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
always reproducible

Steps to Reproduce:
1.add EPEL repository on a RHEL 7.7 system
2.yum install qt-creator

Actual results:
--> Running transaction check

 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

Expected results:
qt-creator is installed successfully

Comment 1 Anssi Johansson 2019-09-07 19:53:53 UTC
This may be obvious, but the old build causes problems for people upgrading from 7.6 to 7.7. It would be good to have qt-creator built against 7.7 so that we could point users to a new build of qt-creator, instead of providing ugly workarounds for the upgrade issue.

This seems to be in epel-testing now, thanks!
