I see the same over here, it used to work just fine, so some dependency of
gnumeric in core got updated and has it hosed. It needs a rebuild because of
some changes anyway, lets hope that the rebuild cures things.

I've upgraded my i386 testing machine to the latest rawhide and now gnumeric
starts fine, so probably the problem was in a dependency and is fixed now.

Can you upgrade to the latest rawhide and try again?

Comment 3 Hans de Goede 2005-12-09 13:16:21 UTC
Hmm,

This still happens on my home machine (fully up2date rawhide) but not on my work
machine (also fully up2date rawhide).

Anyways I'll investigate further.

Comment 4 Hans de Goede 2005-12-11 22:33:07 UTC
A run under the debugger after installing the debuginfo, shows that the actual
problem is in gtk2-engines, upgrading gtk2-engines to 2.7.0-2 (from 2.7.0-1)
fixes this for me, closing as fixed in rawhide.
