Description Oyvind Albrigtsen 2019-09-18 12:48:16 UTC
Description of problem:
The lack of -n/--plug support in fence_mpath makes users unable to use a single fence device for all their nodes.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup fence_mpath
2. Look for WARNING:root:Parse error: Ignoring unknown option 'port=<NODENAME>' errors in the logfile.
3.

Actual results:
Error seen in logfile, and hostname/pcmk_host_map ignored.

Expected results:
hostname/pcmk_host_map used for key unless --key specified (for backwards compatibility).

Comment 1 Jan Pokorný [poki] 2019-09-24 13:21:11 UTC
Oyvind, IIRC, this came up recently, and the straightforward workaround
appeared to be to configure "pcmk_host_argument" meta attribute as "key",
then to configure "pcmk_host_map" as
"NODE1:<KEY-FOR-NODE1>;NODEx:<KEY-FOR-NODEx>"

Correct?

Just that the surrounding know-how is compressed & archived somewhere...

Comment 2 Oyvind Albrigtsen 2019-09-24 13:29:44 UTC
Correct. That's explained in the kbase document for the RHEL7 clone of this bz, which I've just added to this bz as well.
