Description Juan Simón 2019-09-19 17:27:16 UTC
GNOME Shell 3.32.2

I've disabled the screen lock.
I have set the screen to turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity.

After the screen is turned off for inactivity, when I resume the session sometimes the mouse pointer disappears.

Journalctl shows the following (I don't know if it's related):
....

What's your kernel version?

Are you using the X11 or Wayland session?

Does the mouse cursor disappear everywhere or just on the panel, background, overview etc?

Does it return when you click on a window while holding the Super key (triggering a window move)?

Comment 2 Juan Simón 2019-09-20 08:11:49 UTC
Kernel version 5.2.15-200.fc30.x86_64
Wayland session

The mouse pointer disapears in desktop (top bar, over background, gnome-shell menus...) but on the rest of the windows (Firefox, Gedit, Nautilus...) it still appears.
Today it has happened to me twice while I was using various applications and it has worked properly again after minimizing/maximizing some windows.

Then I'm going to assume it's a duplicate of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1738614. Current known work-around is to either upgrade kernel version 5.3 or downgrade to 5.1.
