Description Charles R. Anderson 2019-09-21 14:22:37 UTC
Description of problem:

Can't load any pages at all, nor the settings page, history, etc. Nothing works. All pages fail with "Aw, Snap!". Downgrading to chromium-76.0.3809.132-2.fc29.x86_64 immediately restores everything. Upgrading again breaks everything again. This update is completely broken for me.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
chromium-77.0.3865.75-2.fc29.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open browser
2. try to load any page, history, or settings
3.

Actual results:
"Aw, Snap!"

Expected results:
page loads correctly

Thank you Charles for you bug report. It looks like we have to backport a fix for https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=980025.

Comment 3 Tomas Popela 2019-09-23 15:24:47 UTC
So the scratch build worked and I will build the fixed packages for F29+ and EPEL 7.

Yes it's the version I installed in Fedora 31 Beta that I'm already testing...apart from video playback problems, window management now behaves well and eventually I'll report any other problems!!!
