Having used bats from epel6 and epel7, and now migrating from RHEL 6 / CentOS 7 to RHEL 8, it would be useful to be able to continue to use bats via RPM. bats is currently available in epel-playground. Is anything blocking the release to epel8? FEDORA-EPEL-2021-def0dff6cd has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 8. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2021-def0dff6cd FEDORA-EPEL-2021-def0dff6cd has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 8 testing repository.
