Description of problem: some functions related to password handling are not operational. A feature present under Windows 10 is there missing.

Version-Release number: pinentry-gnome3.x86_64 1.1.0-6.fc31 @anaconda

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch key/key pair creation wizard on Gnome 3.34.0;
2. At password setting, test different scenario and note behaviours.

Actual results:
Some functions are prone to errors: Password quality check feature is missing.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 31 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 31 on 2020-11-24.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
Fedora 'version' of '31'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' 
to a later Fedora version.

to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version 
of Fedora, you are encouraged  change the 'version' to a later Fedora

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's 
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a 
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes 
bugs or makes them obsolete.

After all, KDE, Oct 7 2019, and GnuPG, Jan 15 2020, respectively claimed this issue to be reported to Fedora and Gnome. Assigning the issue here would have allowed to get a proper formulation of the problem in first place. To be reported if needed to Gnome with a developer's interpretation.

Can you summarize what is the issue you see with the current version of Fedora?

At Gitlab, i observe the same as well. Nevertheless all the others links here mentioned are valid. The observation that i reported in those ones is both as summarized and elaborated. Developers of respective projects have interpreted it as an issue. Issue is alive in current version of Fedora.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 34 development cycle.
Changing version to 34.

After reading through the issue again, I finally found the sentence "Password quality check feature is missing". This is true that the gnome3 version of pinentry prompt does not have this functionality if I read right. Let me rename the issue and ask in the upstream again.

Fedora Linux 34 entered end-of-life (EOL) status on 2022-06-07.

Fedora Linux 34 is no longer maintained, which means that it
will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we
are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release.
