Description Dave Malcolm 2005-12-20 23:40:06 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #175394 +++

Description of problem:
If one connects to an LDAP address book
one can certainly go ahead and search for contacts while trying to address an
email, but nothing shows up in the Contacts section of Evo, under the LDAP
address book. Searching doesn't work there, and it appears empty. This is very
counterintuitive behavior. Not yet sure if this is a regression or not.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
evolution-2.0.2-25

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add LDAP address book
2. Try to do a search or see any contacts

Actual results:
No contacts show up, unless you are trying to address an email.

Expected results:
Contacts should show up, at least up until the download limit set (default 100
cards).

Unfortunately you need to do a search of some kind for anything to turn up.

Comment 1 Dave Malcolm 2005-12-20 23:41:22 UTC
This is a long-standing problem with Evolution's LDAP support; would be nice to
get this fixed (maybe some kind of cursoring mechanism?), but I think it's going
to be hard.

Comment 2 Christopher Aillon 2007-04-17 19:16:26 UTC
This should probably be filed upstream and handled there...

Comment 3 Milan Crha 2007-05-04 09:50:24 UTC
Moving this upstream where we will continue to track the problem.
