Description of problem:
I found a command to use mock to build package for a different architecture using "--forcearch". I didn't read the man page, I simly used it in the same way:

$ mock -r fedora-31-ppc64le --forcearch ppc64le --rebuild ./innoextract-1.8-1.fc32.src.rpm 
...
Error: Transaction failed

I couldn't understand why it failed. Only after asking people for help and debugging for some time, it turned out I didn't have qemu-user-static package installed. Once I installed it, it started working.

If --forcearch requires qemu-user-static, why don't you fail immediately with a clear error when this package is not installed? That would be clear for the user and it would save a lot of time and troubles. If failing hard is not an option, can you at least print a very visible warning (printing it as the last line in the log, after the failed command, would be best)? Thanks.
