I can really only speak to pdsh. The following package dependencies would need to be branched and built in epel8 first:

* torque
* genders
* whatsup

Comment 2 powderluv 2020-06-18 21:25:31 UTC
Any chance we can get the pdsh package packaged for RHEL8/CentOS8 ? A lot of HPC cluster management tools (like slurm) use pdsh and this prevents upgrading those clusters to RHEL8.

Thanks

See Comment 1. I'm happy to do the pdsh build, but the dependencies aren't in EPEL8.

Comment 4 powderluv 2020-06-18 22:27:57 UTC
yeah i went down that patch and I think they whatsup depends on ganglia or something else. Should I try to file an issue for each of the deps ?

Comment 5 lejeczek 2020-06-21 17:12:43 UTC
Since I filed this report been a while and I almost forgotten 'pdsh' - 'parallel' I recommend instead.
I'd close this 'bug'.

Yes, that would be helpful.

Comment 7 jbgorrie 2021-02-23 16:56:12 UTC
I still want/need pdsh for EPEL8 (compiled it myself, but a EPEL package is better.
I only need SSH support (not the rest).

torque seems built.

These do not yet seem to be built.

* whatsup -> 1906889
