Description Jan Rybar 2019-11-29 14:20:00 UTC
Description of problem:
As original upstream, Victor Abell, retired, the original upstream source [1] became defunct.
New upstream [2] was founded and the initial release was made with a package newer than the original (which is now unavailable for download).

First, it is needed to update the source link in .spec, then the next release of RHEL's lsof need to be rebased on top of an available tarball (lsof-4.93.2).
Now we cannot provide link to source tarball of lsof included in RHEL8 and also fixing of future bugs will be unnecessarily difficult with the older package.

All needed changes has been present in Fedora since early summer 2019.

Actual results:
Tarball present in RHEL8 is unavailable.
Package sources behind current available version in new upstream.

Expected results:
RHEL8's lsof is aligned with new upstream and up to date.
