Looks like 0.13 makes use of gradle, which might be an issue.

- Drops fb303 package
- Switch to Qt5

It appears the fb303 has been dropped upstream - at least it no longer builds.

It also switches to qt5. Need to decide to change the sub-package name to qt5 as well.

Gradle is probably just for the java stuff... I haven't checked, but I was already thinking we'd have to strip out the libthrift java library anyway, since many of the deps for Java are disappearing from the distro lately, post-modularity, and it wasn't building. If we have to disable packaging of some libraries, that's fine... I think what is most important for thrift is to get the code generation built. Other language-specific library support can be built as needed, so long as there's enough contributor support to keep it building in Fedora. The code generator is the most important thing, though.

@orion , I'm changing the assignee to you, for now, since you're working on it. I also gave you Admin for the repo, so you have co-maintainer privileges.

Yeah, the gradle thing isn't a concern now with java disabled.

I think we should be ready to build this. Anything to coordinate this with?

Nothing special that I know of.
