The issue is a race condition, the reproducibility is not deterministic and there's a high chance it will be working fine for you. It was quite consistently reproducible with the UBI image mentioned in the Description, but there's no guarantee. I'm not sure what you're running the tests on and it may well be passing in the tests while being actually broken when you run microdnf manually. The conditions for the race to manifest are unpredictable.

I don't really think there's much you can do to verify this, I would set it to VERIFIED and move on personally. Same goes for the other bugs on this microdnf crash... (sorry I don't have the links for them on hand)
