Description Guilherme de Almeida Suckevicz 2019-12-12 18:47:48 UTC
In Wireshark 3.0.0 to 3.0.6 and 2.6.0 to 2.6.12, the CMS dissector could crash. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/asn1/cms/packet-cms-template.c by ensuring that an object identifier is set to NULL after a ContentInfo dissection.

Comment 1 Guilherme de Almeida Suckevicz 2019-12-12 18:48:03 UTC
Created wireshark tracking bugs for this issue:

Affects: fedora-all [bug 1782989]

Comment 2 Huzaifa S. Sidhpurwala 2020-01-13 13:18:54 UTC
Statement:

This only affects version of wireshark shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. Other products are not affected since they do not support the CMS dissector.
