It does not build because the release tarball is missing the tools directory:

Peter, I appreciate your help with updates of this this package. If you are interested in taking care of this in future, I do not mind adding you as a comaintainer or even handling the package over to you. But it already happened several times during last half a year that you used your proven packager superpowers to push changes, updates without even trying to notify me, without even checking this update bug and this is not what these superpowers are supposed to be for. I am not non-responsive maintainer nor this package is stalled.

I have the 1.0.1 update ready so I would be glad for review before I will push it in:

I'm happy for you to add me as a co-maintainer.

Well there were times that due to changes in the tpm2-tss and related packages that the snapshots included were broken.
