Description Dominik 'Rathann' Mierzejewski 2020-01-01 22:06:48 UTC
Description of problem:
https://github.com/pupnp/pupnp/releases shows releases newer than 1.8.4. There's 1.8.6 from 1.8.x series and 1.10.1 from 1.10.x.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.8.4-3.fc32

Additional info:
1.8.5 and .6 have a couple of important bug fixes. I'll send a pull request updating to 1.8.6 soon.

Could you enable upstream release monitoring for the package?

Both 1.8.6 and 1.10.1 are available from SourceForge as well:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pupnp/files/pupnp/

Comment 3 Nicolas Chauvet (kwizart) 2020-01-02 10:42:35 UTC
@Dominik

Theses changes looks good. Can you apply to the libupnp acl and merge the changes as needed.
Please announce the ABI bump as appropriate.

About release monitoring, I beleive that anymore can add a project to monitor...

Comment 4 Dominik 'Rathann' Mierzejewski 2020-01-02 15:38:38 UTC
Thanks Nicolas. I'll have to run a round of rebuilds for the dependent packages first.

I added the package mapping to release-monitoring.org, but I'm unable to change monitoring status at https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/libupnp . I get "Unable to change the monitoring status!" dialog with an "OK" button when I try.

Comment 5 Ben Cotton 2020-02-11 17:38:23 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 32 development cycle.
Changing version to 32.

Comment 6 Gwyn Ciesla 2020-05-02 19:22:23 UTC
1.12.1 is out, and gerbera 1.5.0 needs it. What are your plans?

Comment 7 Nicolas Chauvet (kwizart) 2020-05-06 12:42:02 UTC
It's about to dedicate time to prepare the update and handle the ABI/API changes in user applications.

Comment 8 Gwyn Ciesla 2020-05-06 13:22:48 UTC
Cool, thanks, I'll keep an eye out!

Comment 9 Gwyn Ciesla 2020-07-16 15:37:45 UTC
I'm going to begin looking at this, unless you're already working on it.

Comment 10 Gwyn Ciesla 2020-07-16 16:16:59 UTC
So far as I can determine, only gerbera, linphone and gmediarender use libupnp. All 3 build fine with libupnp 1.12.1.

Unless someone objects, I'll announce this afternoon and chain-build in the morning.

Comment 11 Gwyn Ciesla 2020-07-16 16:48:56 UTC
Announced on -devel.
