Description Rudnei Bertol Jr. 2020-01-06 14:02:30 UTC
Description of problem:

The operating system is set to blank on the host when selecting hostgroup before the Location when a host is created on the Satellite.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
6.6

How reproducible:

Create a host using a hostgroup with any location set on the Satellite, select the hostgroup and after that select the location, the Operating system will be blank on the Operating system tab.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select Any Location on the Satellite WebUI.
2. Create a host using a hostgroup.
3. Select the Location.
4. Check the Operating system on the Operating system tab.

Actual results:
The host is created, however, if you need to change the Operating system version, neither Operating system is available to change.

Expected results:
The Operating system versions are loaded on the Operating system list.

Upon review of our valid but aging backlog the Satellite Team has concluded that this Bugzilla does not meet the criteria for a resolution in the near term, and are planning to close in a month. This message may be a repeat of a previous update and the bug is again being considered to be closed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact your Red Hat Account team. Thank you.

Thank you for your interest in Red Hat Satellite. We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this feel free to contact your Red Hat Account Team. Thank you.
