Description of problem:
Summary:
Trying to get DRI working on i810 based Dell 700m System. X Log, see attached, has no errors and indicates that direct rendering is enabled. However, glxinfo indicates that direct rending is disabled.

Found this thread from XFree 4.2 with exactly the same symptoms. However, their fix of enabling XvMC doesn't work.(xorg no longer uses this setting.)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start X
2. Note from log that direct rendering is enabled.
3. run "glxinfo|grep dir". Note that direct rendering is disabled.
  

Actual Results:  Log states rendering enabled, glxinfo states rendering disabled.

Expected Results:  glxinfo should have stated that direct rendering enabled.

Fedora Core 3 is no longer maintained by Red Hat, since the public release
of Fedora Core 5 test2.  As of this writing, the currently maintained OS
release is Fedora Core 4, to which all users are recommended to upgrade to.

Setting status to "CURRENTRELEASE" of Fedora Core 4.
