Description Fedora Release Engineering 2020-02-06 16:33:58 UTC
elementary-files failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f32

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=41316889

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_32_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix elementary-files at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
elementary-files will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 33,
elementary-files will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 4 Ben Cotton 2020-02-11 17:11:02 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 32 development cycle.
Changing version to 32.

Comment 5 Fabio Valentini 2020-02-15 11:28:48 UTC
Reported issue upstream:
https://github.com/elementary/files/issues/1199

As a temporary workaround, it should be possible to disable "-fno-common" by using "%define _legacy_common_support 1".

Comment 6 Fabio Valentini 2020-02-15 16:11:32 UTC
Built for rawhide and f32 with the workaround from the last comment:
