Description Lee Yarwood 2020-02-21 11:08:02 UTC
Description of problem:

os-brick has long supported the attachment of RBD volumes as block devices on a host. This however has never been a supported method of attaching these volumes to instances by Nova. This RFE will cover the wiring up of this support within Nova and the associated testing required.

This feature will not retain feature parity with the original native RBD volume attachment via QEMU. As for example there is no way at present to resize these block devices on the compute host, thus attached volume extend etc will fail.
