Patch which allows conditional build of Postgres table support none

Description Ben 2006-02-09 05:03:33 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1

Description of problem:
The postfix package does not have any support for postgres. It would be nice if it, or perhaps a supplimental or seperate package, did have a postfix binary with this compile flag set.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.2.2-2

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install postfix-2.2.2-2
2. Try to use a config that depends on postfix's postgres support
3. See it not work.

Patch which allows conditional build of Postgres table support

This patch adds conditional support to the Postfix RPM enabling Postgres table
lookup support. It's just a simple copy of the existing code adding MySQL
support.

The obvious next step would be to enable MySQL and/or PostgreSQL support by
default, though that could be a long ugly dependency chain that folks don't
want to endure.

Seems like a reasonable feature request unless there are serious known issues.

Thomas, any comments?

This report targets the FC3 or FC4 products, which have now been EOL'd.

Could you please check that it still applies to a current Fedora release, and
either update the target product or close it ?

Thanks.

Patch works for me on Fedora 7 Test 1, using RPM postfix-2.3.6-1 from Rawhide.

Comment 5 Fedora Update System 2007-06-14 15:47:14 UTC
postfix-2.4.3-2.fc7 has been pushed to the Fedora 7 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
