This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:

When running systemd command:

# systemd-tmpfiles --create

Error is encountered:

[/usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/dovecot.conf:1] Line references path below legacy directory /var/run/, updating /var/run/dovecot → /run/dovecot; please update the tmpfiles.d/ drop-in file accordingly.


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): dovecot-1:2.2.36-10.el8.x86_64

How reproducible: Always


Steps to Reproduce:

1. Install dovecot
2. Run: systemd-tmpfiles --create


Actual results:

Error Message generated
[/usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/dovecot.conf:1] Line references path below legacy directory /var/run/, updating /var/run/dovecot → /run/dovecot; please update the tmpfiles.d/ drop-in file accordingly.


Expected results:  No errors should be generated by command


Additional info: Configuration file for package needs to be updated.

This is a regression - yum downgrade dovecot-2.2.36-10.el8.x86_64 fixes the issue.
