*** Bug 1687912 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** In principle, yes. However ... One, nextcloud is a very fast-moving target (major releases every ~4 months, major releases go EOL after ~1 year), and doesn't support updates across multiple versions. That's somewhat orthogonal to what you'd expect of a stable EPEL package - I can't even ensure that significant changes would line up with CentOS/RHEL point releases . Two, if the repos are updated to a recent (i.e. 18+) version, that will very much break all existing installs - hopefully there aren't many people who have this ancient version installed, but still ... This package is not forgotten, EPEL-side, I'm just still figuring out how best to deal with the above issues. Since CentOS/RHEL7 provides PHP 7.x (required for any supported Nextcloud version, in fact for anything newer than NC12) only via SCLs - which EPEL packages can't have runtime dependencies on - I've retired the package there. It should still work with PHP7 enabled via SCLs, so I'll maybe put a package for CentOS/RHEL7 on Copr. For CentOS/RHEL8 I'll build modular packages with streams for all supported versions, so people can decide for themselves if and when to change the major release. Leaving this open as a tracking bug. Comments/suggestions welcome, of course.
