2) What is the nature and description of the request?

Allow customers to be able to add or more columns to the 'All Hosts' page in WebUI.

For example: If we add information in comments than it should be possible to add an extra column for displaying the comments in all host page (WebUI >> Host >> All Haos).

3) Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

Managing host become easy for performing bulk action.

4) Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla?

No

Upon review of our valid but aging backlog the Satellite Team has concluded that this Bugzilla does not meet the criteria for a resolution in the near term, and are planning to close in a month. This message may be a repeat of a previous update and the bug is again being considered to be closed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact your Red Hat Account team. Thank you.

There is no additional work to be done here, everything should be implemented as part of https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-10437 . All the necessary changes should already be present starting with snap 3, but flipping to modified to have it go through the process properly.

Comment 15 Pavel Novotny 2023-03-21 15:51:30 UTC
Verified in
satellite-6.13.0-6.el8sat.noarch
foreman-3.5.1.12-1.el8sat.noarch
rubygem-katello-4.7.0.21-1.el8sat.noarch

On the Hosts page (Hosts -> All Hosts) is now new link 'Manage columns',
which opens new dialog where user can select which columns are displayed in the hosts table.
These custom columns are saved per user.

Besides the web UI, the columns can be also managed via CLI. Run 'hammer user table-preference --help' or see the docs for more.
