Description Michel Lind 2020-03-23 18:22:01 UTC
Description of problem:
A team at work needs it, and it's already packaged for EPEL 7 but not branched for EPEL 8.

Tested rebuilding the Rawhide src.rpm and it builds fine.

If there's no interest in maintaining it, I can help maintain the EPEL 8 branch; please let me know, thanks!

Hello Michael,

I am not interested in EPEL, therefore I am fine if somebody else maintains any of my EPEL packages.

Nevertheless, you have not mentioned reasons you want erubis in EPEL, but because it is not maintained upstream, I would suggest against doing that. Please consider rubygem-erubi instead.

Hi Vit,

I'll communicate that with our internal team (not 100% familiar with their usecases either). Thanks!

Looks like we can go with erubi - since you also maintain it, can I get added as a committer? (I'm a provenpackager so I can commit anyway, but I prefer not to do hit-and-run commits) :)

You should have the rubygem-erubi commit bit now.
