Description Marcin Zajaczkowski 2020-03-28 17:50:13 UTC
Description of problem:
It is not possible to choose mount point for unformatted Linux partition, even if one choses to format it (the mount point field is still not editable). This makes it problematic to install Fedora on already prepared for installation an empty partition.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
I don't a version available right now, but it was the one provided in Fedora 32 Beta (live) installer.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Prepare empty, unformatted Linux partition (here with gparted)
2. Try to choose the mount point ("/") - the field is not editable.
3. Choose "Reformat" to create a filesystem (e.g. ext4).

Actual results:
The mount point field is still read only.

Expected results:
After checked "Reformat" I should be able to choose mount point.

Additional info:
In hindsight, I don't know what was special with that partition, but I was able to choose "/boot" for other partition (reformatted with ext4).

As a workaround it was required to delete that partition from Anaconda and create new one with "/" mount point and desired size (or maximum size).
