Currently we are testing RHGS(3.5.1) produt on RHEL8 for the first time.
We are not testing any upgrades, ie RHEL7->RHEL8 or RHEL6->RHEL8 upgrade is not being tested and hence should not be supported. 
This needs to be clearly documented in the related documentation guides

Adding our discussion on chat here.

After looking into the admin guide, I felt adding a note in places where RHEL 8 has been mentioned would be a good idea. However, there are 4 mentions of RHEL 8 in the admin guide, 3 of which are NFS Ganesha related. One mention of RHEL 8 is under the client support matrix but it just states the protocols supported so it won't be ideal to add an upgrade related note there. I would request the stakeholders' opinion here.

I don't see any topic in admin guide which requires the concerned warning/message to be added. So we are good.

Update- since the release version has changed from the initial 3.5.1 to 3.5.2 , have made the specific change in the note to reflect the same .
