As far I can see in the change log, there are no API break or so.

The spec file

I have create an sample spec file for it.

Comment 3 Alan Pevec 2020-09-08 09:33:37 UTC
mergin master 3.2.0 to epel7

Comment 4 Alan Pevec 2020-09-08 09:51:36 UTC
...which of course doesn't work, taking propose spec with some modifications

Comment 5 Alan Pevec 2020-09-08 10:18:09 UTC
proposed spec is python3 only and I guess we want to keep python2 subpkg in epel7

Comment 7 Alan Pevec 2020-09-08 11:20:34 UTC
epel7 buildroot is missing few python36 packages:
python36-importlib-metadata
python36-pyrsistent >= 0.14.0
python36-setuptools-scm

Did proposed patch work with epel7 python36?

Comment 8 Frank Büttner 2020-09-10 06:27:07 UTC
Can you send me an srpm for testing?

Comment 9 Alan Pevec 2020-09-11 08:54:11 UTC
You can grab it from the scratch build Koji task https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/6322/50996322/python-jsonschema-3.2.0-1.el7.src.rpm
or rebuild from above PR if scratch expired.

Comment 10 Frank Büttner 2020-09-11 09:00:38 UTC
Oh the srpm fails to build with:
RPM build errors:
    File not found: /builddir/build/BUILDROOT/python-jsonschema-3.2.0-1.el7.x86_64/usr/bin/jsonschema
