Description Jan Stodola 2020-04-26 19:09:35 UTC
Description of problem:
It's not possible to change the device type of a new mount point after changing the device type to Btrfs.
Anaconda refuses any changes with the following message in the bottom bar:
"Device does not support RAID level selection single."

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora-Server-netinst-x86_64-Rawhide-20200423.n.0.iso
anaconda-33.11-1.fc33

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start graphical installation on a system with one disk.
2. Proceed to the custom partitioning spoke.
3. Let anaconda create the partitions (used the default LVM scheme).
4. Select "/" mount point, change the device type to Btrfs and click "Update Settings".
4. With "/" mount point still selected, change the device type to LVM (or any other) and click "Update Settings".

Actual results:
Error message at the bottom of the screen: "Device does not support RAID level selection single."
Device type stays Btrfs.

Expected results:
Device type changed to LVM (or any other) without errors.

Additional info:
Similar behavior on a system with two disks, however it's possible to use the "RAID" device type, which "fixes" anaconda and then it's again possible to use any other device type.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 33 development cycle.
Changing version to 33.
