Description Igor Raits 2020-05-03 09:47:57 UTC
Hello,

Your package (python-lfpy) Fails To Install in Fedora 33:

---
can't install python3-lfpy-2.0.3-8.fc32.x86_64:
  - nothing provides python3.8dist(mpi4py) >= 1.2 needed by python3-lfpy-2.0.3-8.fc32.x86_64
---

According to a policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks if you won't reply to this bug.

Thanks!

I read the email.

Spec URL: https://victortyau.fedorapeople.org/python-LFPy/python-lfpy.spec

SRPM URL: https://victortyau.fedorapeople.org/python-LFPy/python-lfpy-2.0.7-1.fc32.src.rpm

made some changes.

Thanks a lot.

Victor, thanks for that. The package is already in Fedora, so you need to fix the spec, update it at https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-lfpy and then rebuild it.

Let me know if I can help with any of the steps. I'm assigning this to you now, as per the process so that the package doesn't get orphaned.

PS: If you're unsure of something in the spec, please feel free to open a pull request and we can review it together before merging and building

I have made the commit of the spec file with new changes.

Thanks Victor. You also need to check-in the new sources and submit a build (which will automatically push an update in bodhi for F33.)

Please refer to this step-by-step document:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_update_HOWTO

I'll be in the neurofedora channels all day if you have any queries.

Comment 7 Victor Tejada Yau 2020-05-11 19:14:51 UTC
Thanks Ankur for the tips and links
so the package is build stable for 33 version
look into this link please
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-lfpy

cheers

Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (ignatenkobrain).

All subpackages of a package agaisnt which this bug was filled are now installable or removed from Fedora 33.

Thanks for taking care of it!
