Description Igor Raits 2020-05-08 11:31:12 UTC
Hello,

Your package (paraview) Fails To Install in Fedora 33:

---
can't install paraview-5.8.0-1.fc33.x86_64:
  - nothing provides libcgns.so.4.0()(64bit) needed by paraview-5.8.0-1.fc33.x86_64
---
can't install paraview-mpich-5.8.0-1.fc33.x86_64:
  - nothing provides libcgns.so.4.0()(64bit) needed by paraview-mpich-5.8.0-1.fc33.x86_64
---
can't install paraview-openmpi-5.8.0-1.fc33.x86_64:
  - nothing provides libcgns.so.4.0()(64bit) needed by paraview-openmpi-5.8.0-1.fc33.x86_64
---

According to a policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks if you won't reply to this bug.

The data was generated from koji buildroot, so it might be a bit newer than latest rawhide compose.

If this is caused by updating one of packages and not rebuilding others yet, consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/rawhide-gating/multi-builds/

Thanks!

Comment 1 Orion Poplawski 2020-05-09 03:52:42 UTC
This due to cgnslib 4.0.0 -> 4.1.1 update which also makes ParaView FTBFS. Reported upstream: https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/19913
