Description Omair Majid 2020-05-12 23:01:28 UTC
We would like to add .NET 5.0 to RHEL 8.

This is the next version of .NET Core, and also the successor to the Windows-only, closed source .NET Framework.

.NET 5.0 hasn't been released yet, but preview versions are being made public upstream. The expected release date of .NET 5 is November 2020.

.NET will not be an LTS release. It will be a Current/STS release. We expect upstream will support it for about a year.

This package will have an srpm name of "dotnet5.0".
