Description spekbukkem 2020-05-13 09:19:02 UTC
Description of problem:
Due to a change in the ibus package on RHEL7.7, the default settings of the following environment variables:
QT_IM_MODULE=ibus
XMODIFIERS='@im=ibus'
was changed. This prevents our users from using the double and single quote characters in nedit, when they switched to an international keyboard (we are using International US keyboard). Current workaround is to either use the standard US keyboard or manually change the environment variables to:
export QT_IM_MODULE=xim
export XMODIFIERS=@im=none

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Nedit 5.7

How reproducible:
Change keyboard to US International, open Nedit and try to use single or double quote characters

Actual results:
Whitespace character instead of single or double quote

Expected results:

Additional info:
Single or double quote
