Description of problem:
when I start blender I can't see any text in the UI.  On the console is logged:
Can't find font: /usr/share/fonts/blender/droidsans.ttf
Can't find font: /usr/share/fonts/blender/bmonofont-i18n.ttf

that's because they're in a "fonts" subfolder - e.g. /usr/share/fonts/blender/fonts/droidsans.ttf

not sure if they're in the wrong place or if blender is looking in the wrong place.
