Please submit the patch to X.Org bugzilla at http://bugs.freedesktop.org
for consideration by the upstream maintainer of xkeyboard-config.

Once you've filed your bug report to X.Org, if you paste the new
bug URL here, Red Hat will continue to track the issue in the
centralized X.Org bug tracker, and will review any bug fixes
that become available for consideration in future updates.

Setting status to "NEEDINFO_REPORTER", and awaiting upstream
bug report URL for tracking.

Thanks in advance.

Patch has been submitted in Xorg on 2005-12-30 by the original author of
aforementioned the Gentoo manual.

Fedora should apply the patch to its RPMs until X.Org fixes this (it doesn't
look like they are in a particular hurry).

Thanks.

Once it is committed to upstream CVS, we will consider adding it in a future
update.

> (it doesn't look like they are in a particular hurry).

Not surprising, as X.Org's xkbdata is officially unmaintaned, and probably
wont ever get bug fixes or additions made to it, as it has been replaced
by the xkeyboard-config project's xkbdata. Fedora Core 5's xorg-x11-xkbdata
package contains xkeyboard-config 0.8, which is actively maintained upstream
by Sergey Udaltsov and others.

I've reassigned the upstream bug to the proper component, and proper
bug owner. The right people should now see the bug.

Setting status to "UPSTREAM", and tracking in upstream bugzilla.
