Support for extended tweets is available in release 1.7.0 which was made available in February, 2020.  Not sure why the automated systems didn't make the notification.

Is the assigned maintainer still accurate.  I looked in koji and it appears that listed maintainer hasn't touched this package since March, 2010.  If no one else wants I can adopt or co-maintain.
