Description Suraj Patil 2020-07-08 08:04:22 UTC
Description of problem:

foreman-maintain backup snapshot fails with the below error.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Check if backup is on different logical volume then the source: [FAIL]
undefined method `data_dir' for nil:NilClass
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scenario [Backup] failed.

The following steps ended up in failing state:

  [backup-snapshot-logical-volume-confirmation]

Resolve the failed steps and rerun
the command. In case the failures are false positives,
use --whitelist="backup-snapshot-logical-volume-confirmation"

Created redmine issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/30342 from this bug

Comment 2 Bryan Kearney 2020-07-08 12:04:31 UTC
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite since the upstream issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/30342 has been resolved.

Comment 4 Patrick Creech 2020-09-03 15:11:18 UTC
Hi!

Can we get an upstream release of foreman-maintain on the 0.5 line with this fix in it?

Thanks,
Patrick

Comment 5 James Jeffers 2020-09-08 15:29:00 UTC
Moving this back to 6.8.0 (and dropping from 6.7.4) after discussion with build team and QE.
