You didn't attach the document, but I'm guessing it has 10 pages of front matter. That is, there's 10 pages of table of content/figures/tables, maybe foreword and the page that says "Page 1" is acutually the 10th page in the pdf document. Pdf has a feature that allows a document to say e.g. page "v" is the 5th page in the document (often front matter is numbered using roman numberals) and that page 1 is the tenth page in the document. Many pdfs don't use this though, and in that case there's nothing evince or any other pdf viewer can do. If this is not the case, please reopen and attach document, thanks. |
