I've prepared an update to v1.12.0 ( git hash 3efc7122049b ), this fixes both the FTBFS in rawhide and also this CVE-2020-15117.
As I'm not main contact for epel I didn't just push it to epel, but feel free to use that commit.
It does require gtest-devel and gmock-devel, which are provided by the package gtest in fedora.
epel7 has the package gmock, but it has been retired in favor of gtest, which is not yet available for epel7.
