Description Fedora Release Engineering 2020-08-03 18:20:33 UTC
musl failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f33

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=48002216

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_33_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix musl at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
musl will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 34,
musl will be retired, if it still fails to build.

This is POWER specific, blocking on ppctracker...

Comment 5 Ben Cotton 2020-08-11 14:18:21 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 33 development cycle.
Changing version to 33.

Comment 6 Dan Horák 2020-08-11 15:16:51 UTC
Looks like the %configure macro overrides CC back gcc, so it doesn't honour -mlong-double-64 from the exported CC any more and the check fails. Probably caused by a (recent?) change in redhat-rpm-config.

Comment 7 Dan Horák 2020-08-11 15:19:20 UTC
it's apparent in the build.log

Comment 8 Neal Gompa 2020-08-19 14:44:07 UTC
Oh, welp, thanks!

Comment 9 Neal Gompa 2020-08-20 13:58:48 UTC
This is now fixed with redhat-rpm-config-168 being built for F33+: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1597164
