Description Fedora Release Engineering 2020-08-03 21:28:51 UTC
waypipe failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f33

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=48362488

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_33_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix waypipe at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
waypipe will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 34,
waypipe will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 4 Dominique Martinet 2020-08-03 22:11:53 UTC
Looks like an issue with LTO and neon instructions being spread from one .a to the rest without -mfpu=neon

opened a ticket upstream: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mstoeckl/waypipe/-/issues/31
will push an upgrade to v0.7.0 + whatever patch to fix that, it doesn't look too bad.

Comment 5 Jeff Law 2020-08-11 15:10:34 UTC
LTO temporarily disabled

Comment 6 Ben Cotton 2020-08-11 15:15:04 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 33 development cycle.
Changing version to 33.
