Description Thomas Haller 2020-08-05 13:41:47 UTC
RHEL-8.3 ships NetworkManager 1.26.0 + additional patches.

Since 1.26.0 upstream release, there are a few relatively important extra patches added upstream. These patches should be backported as well, because they are either very safe or relatively important (or both).

However, they don't seem notably enough, to add individual rhbz for them, because they are straight forward.

  * wifi: avoid crash due to incomplete Wi-Fi API info

Hard to reproduce (I think), but apparently a crash.

  * more cosmetic but safe. Also only affect nm-cloud-setup (which is less critical compared to other parts of NetworkManager).
