Description Dhananjay Arunesh 2020-08-12 03:06:47 UTC
Stack-based buffer overflow in the supply_lm_input_write function in drivers/thermal/supply_lm_core.c in the MSM Thermal driver for the Linux kernel, as used in Qualcomm Innovation Center (QuIC) Android contributions for MSM devices and other products, allows attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted application that sends a large amount of data through the debugfs interface.

Comment 1 Dhananjay Arunesh 2020-08-12 03:07:31 UTC
Created kernel tracking bugs for this issue:

Affects: fedora-all [bug 1868216]

Comment 2 Justin M. Forbes 2020-08-12 13:41:35 UTC
Another Android only bug in a driver which does not exist upstream.
