Comment 1 Michael Kaplan 2020-08-19 13:17:00 UTC
Created ghostscript tracking bugs for this issue:

Affects: fedora-all [bug 1870166]

Comment 2 Todd Cullum 2020-08-21 15:37:31 UTC
Flaw summary:

This flaw is caused by failure to return upon error condition in /devices/gdevtsep.c. The tiffsep_print_page() and tiffsep1_print_page() routines both check for an error condition after parsing output file names, get a return code, but fail to actually abort if the error condition is met.

Comment 4 Todd Cullum 2020-08-21 15:52:50 UTC
Mitigation:

Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.
