Description Michel Lind 2020-08-25 18:02:14 UTC
Description of problem:
Ranger is currently not available on EPEL8. The current Rawhide spec builds and works fine (on CentOS 8.2), please consider releasing it on this OS release?

I'm happy to comaintain. FAS: salimma

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.9.3-3

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. fedpkg clone -a ranger && cd ranger
2. fedpkg --release epel8 mockbuild
3. sudo dnf install ./results_ranger/1.9.3/3.el8/*.noarch.rpm
4. ranger

Actual results:
Works fine

Filipe, if you're a maintainer already, please request to be a co-maintainer of the ranger package first.

Hi Ben, sure, I'm not finding the right place the apply to be a co-maintainer, maybe I'm looking at the wrong place?

Thanks, happy new year! :-)

Things have changed around quite a bit since I last did it. The wiki has this to say though: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_get_sponsored_into_the_packager_group#Become_a_co-maintainer

Comment 5 Ben Cotton 2021-02-09 15:17:10 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 34 development cycle.
Changing version to 34.

Comment 6 Michel Lind 2021-05-12 00:02:40 UTC
Ben, could you add me as a co-maintainer? There is no longer a place to request co-maintainership in Pagure itself, one of the existing maintainers (and you're the only one right now) has to do it

Thanks!

Comment 8 Ben Boeckel 2021-05-12 00:15:08 UTC
I added you with `commit` rights. That should be enough, but if not, let me know.

I'll take back the bug once that's confirmed to work
