Could you be a bit more specific about what date we're talking about? Is that "errata issued on" date?

Comment 3 Pooja Trivedi 2020-09-16 04:30:37 UTC
Hello Marek,

The customer requirement is to select a date range in applicable errata report to check the erratas applied to the hosts registered to Satellite in specific duration. For example we should be able to fetch the applied errata report for a specific quarter.

Comment 4 Marek Hulan 2020-09-22 13:08:04 UTC
So which one, applicable or applied? Applicable are errata that can be applied. Applied errata are those, that were applied already, e.g. in the last quarter. These are two different reports.

Comment 5 Marek Hulan 2020-09-22 13:09:17 UTC
Also please note that the applied errata report already has Since and Up to fields.

Comment 6 Pooja Trivedi 2020-09-23 09:30:16 UTC
Hello Marek,

The customer want to have the date option in Applicable Errata report as same it is in Applied errata report.

Created redmine issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/31696 from this bug

I guess I'm still not sure what this filter would do. In applied errata, it filters applications that happened in that time window. In case of applicable erratas, what does it should filter? Erratas released/published in this window? Note that applicable erratas show errata that were not yet applied, once they are applied they are no longer in applicable report right?

Upon review of our valid but aging backlog the Satellite Team has concluded that this Bugzilla does not meet the criteria for a resolution in the near term, and are planning to close in a month. This message may be a repeat of a previous update and the bug is again being considered to be closed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact your Red Hat Account team. Thank you.

Thank you for your interest in Red Hat Satellite. We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this feel free to contact your Red Hat Account Team. Thank you.
