I have Updated the Firnware/BIOS of the Server: A11 BIOS A13 RAID-Controller But the same Problem ! Hello, i found the Problem. I fogott to write that i changed the /etc/sysconfig/selinux The Problem was the i changed the wrong line: my fault: SELINUX=enforcing SELINUXTYPE=disabled with this entry´s in the /etc/sysconfig/selinux the kernel boots with kernel-panic right: SELINUX=disabled SELINUXTYPE=targeted with this entry´s in the /etc/sysconfig/selinux the old and new kernel booting without kernel-panic i am sorry !!! is it possible to check the cfg, that nobody can make the same fault like me. or that selinux is diabled if the "/etc/sysconfig/selinux" is wrong !!! thanks bye Exactly the same situation with me. The solution (temporary) was to set "selinux=0" when boot. IMO, anyway, the kernel behavior (just to panic) is too bad in such cases. Some clean error-report would be useful, especially as the two independed reports show that it is not a "corner case" :) for info in comment #6 : In my case there is no /etc/sysconfig/selinux file at all (as I remove selinux-policy package). Very, very interesting. I thought my problem was related to the 'sata panic after update and reboot' bug, but now I remember that I changed the selinux config after I updated and before I rebooted. It still could be the mkinitrd bug, too. I will have to drive to the colocation and pass selinux=0 to the kernel. A new kernel update has been released (Version: 2.6.18-1.2200.fc5) based upon a new upstream kernel release. Please retest against this new kernel, as a large number of patches go into each upstream release, possibly including changes that may address this problem. This bug has been placed in NEEDINFO state. Due to the large volume of inactive bugs in bugzilla, if this bug is still in this state in two weeks time, it will be closed. Should this bug still be relevant after this period, the reporter can reopen the bug at any time. Any other users on the Cc: list of this bug can request that the bug be reopened by adding a comment to the bug. In the last few updates, some users upgrading from FC4->FC5 have reported that installing a kernel update has left their systems unbootable. If you have been affected by this problem please check you only have one version of device-mapper & lvm2 installed. See bug 207474 for further details. If this bug is a problem preventing you from installing the release this version is filed against, please see bug 169613. If this bug has been fixed, but you are now experiencing a different problem, please file a separate bug for the new problem. Thank you. Thanks, you can close the bug id: 187349 i works |
